Once a navigational beacon for Lake Champlain, the Colchester
Reef Lighthouse (circa 1871) now rests amid a sea of Lilacs in its glorious
permanenet setting at Vermont's historic Shelburne Museum. Mike began work
on this unique painting as a demonstration piece, on location, at the 2004
Shelburne Museum's "Lilac and Gardening Sunday."
